四、宣布比賽環(huán)節(jié)和評分細則
Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest
Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.
And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.
After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.

在我的記憶中，有過許多的比賽。例如：奧數(shù)比賽、語文比賽、作文比賽�？勺钭屛译y忘的還是那次英語演講比賽。
記得四年級暑假的一天，我漫步在小區(qū)里。忽然，我發(fā)現(xiàn)小區(qū)的報告亭上有一則廣告，上面說我們小區(qū)里就要舉行一場英語演講比賽，有外國人過來聽。地址：小區(qū)物業(yè)大廳內(nèi)�？赐曛螅要q豫不決：我到底去不去，如果去我英文不好，如果不去機會難得。
這時，我想起了媽媽的一句話：“不是所有的種子都必須要長成參天大樹，但如果不努力，就不能破土而出，更不會長成參天大樹。”于是，我徑直走向了物業(yè)的`大門，報了名。我回到家以后和媽媽說明了情況，媽媽二話不說，幫我到圖文店里打印了資料，我拿起了資料，如饑似渴地讀了起來，因為比賽的時候是要脫稿的，所以我一有時間就拿出來練習。
比賽那天，我面帶微笑的對著一些外國人。我異常緊張，但又想：養(yǎng)兵千日用兵一時。我之前的努力不就是為了這一刻嗎？我絕對不能在這個關(guān)節(jié)點上掉鏈子。于是，我發(fā)揮超常。但是我的對手都是大人，所以我的成績一落千丈。
雖然這次我沒有得到名次，但是它讓我明白了一個道理：只有努力才是通向成功的捷徑。

談到成功時，對于實現(xiàn)成功的原因不同的人有不同的看法。有些人認為勤奮是成功必備的素質(zhì)，而另一些人則相信聰明人會實現(xiàn)成功。從我的角度來看，我認為毅力和勤奮對于那些想要成功的人是必不可少的`。
Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the 999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that perseverance produces success.

I regard hard-working as an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times, there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to show around while never let the boy learned anything. Thank you for your kind letter. You told me that you and most of you classmates went out for a three-day trip. I really think it fun. Now let me tell you something about a speech contest, which I have taken part in.
The contest was held at the playground last Saturday morning, 7:00a.m. The panel is made up of 5 English teachers from our school, all of whom were experienced. Moreover, a total number of 20 competitors came from we Grade 2. It was made a rule that the top 3 competitors would be awarded. It is a great competition and all the participants perform well. I was so lucky that I won the first place.
