　　中國的萬里長城被稱為“萬里長城”。事實(shí)上，它有6000多公里長。它蜿蜒地從西向東，穿過沙漠，越過高山，穿過山谷，直到最后到達(dá)大海。它是世界奇觀之一。

　　長城有二十多個世紀(jì)的歷史。它的第一部分是在春秋時期建造的。戰(zhàn)國時期，有更多的城墻被用來保衛(wèi)不同王國的邊界。正是在秦朝，秦國把帝夫的發(fā)福部分統(tǒng)一為一個帝國。為了把敵人趕出他的帝國，秦始皇把所有的城墻連在一起。于是，長城誕生了。

　　長城的寬度足以讓五匹馬或十個人并排走。沿著墻的是瞭望塔，士兵們常常在那里守望。當(dāng)敵人到來時，在塔上點(diǎn)燃了火作為警告。

　　在古代沒有任何現(xiàn)代機(jī)器的.情況下，很難建造這樣一堵墻。所有的工作都是手工完成的。成千上萬的人死了，被埋在他們建造的城墻下。長城不僅是由石頭和泥土建成的，而且是幾百萬人的血肉所組成的。
