It is common in english to ask people about their holidays. In the west many families go away on holiday during the summer months and so it is very usual to ask about this. If the holiday has not yet taken place, then their holiday plans can be talked about. And if it is already over, then where they went, whether they enjoyed it and so on can be discussed. similar questions are asked before festivals and pubic holidays.

Foreigners living and working in china often have frequent opportunities for travel, either at weekends or during their holiday periods, so questions on this topic can often lead to fruitful discussions. They may be particularly interested to hear comments on which places are worth visiting and why, especially if these places are a little less well known and not clearly described in the tour guides.

Take vacaticn and long weekends. Never let vacation time expire.

Today is Friday. The school held a garden tour to celebrate children's day in advance. Mr. Cai announced the content of the activity: the first is to use a ping-pong racket to top the table tennis. The second is riddles. The third is sticking to the nose.

I started to play the first activity. My classmates played one by one. It's my turn. I was so worried, but when I saw my classmates cheering for me, my heart calmed down slowly. I picked up the table tennis racket and table tennis, put the table tennis on the racket, but the table tennis seemed to be against me, always rolling around, but in the end, I still reached the end. I felt a sense of relief.

After a while, I played the second game. The teacher read the riddle "..." Let's guess. When some students guessed right, the teacher gave him a prize, but I didn't guess one, a little depressed.

The last activity is sticking your nose. It is to use magnets to draw two pictures of villains on the blackboard. Let's cover our eyes and stick the nose for the villains. Everyone was actively involved. It's my turn. Step by step, I walked carefully towards the villain. In the reciprocal of the students, I stood up and pasted it. When teacher Cai helped me take off the gauze, I saw that I pasted the "nose" on the upper left corner, and my classmates and I were busy laughing. Although the post is not accurate, Cai still gave me a prize.

The Lantern Festival or Yuanxiao Jie is a traditional Chinese festival, which is on the 15th of the first month of the Chinese New Year. The festival marks the end of the celebrations of the Chinese New Year.

Chinese started to celebrate the Lantern Festival from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 221 AD).

Like most other Chinese festivals, there is also a story behind the Festival. It is also believed that the festival has Taoist origins.

This is a festival for people having fun. On the night of the festival, people go on streets with a variety of lanterns under the full moon, watching lions or dragon dancing, playing Chinese riddles and games, and lighting up firecrackers. There is really a lot of fun for the young and the old.

Yuanxiao (glutinous rice ball) or Tangyuan is the special food for the Lantern Festival.

It is believed that Yuanxiao is named after a palace maid, Yuanxiao, of Emperor Wu Di of the Han Dynasty. Yuanxiao is a kind of sweet dumpling, which is made with sticky rice flour filled with sweet stuffing.

Yuanxiao is sticky, sweet and round in shape, symbolizing family unity, completeness and happiness.

China has many traditional festivals among the year. But I like Mid-Autumn Festival the most. It means harvest, because it is celebrated in the harvest season. And it is the time for famers to express their thanks for harvest. In addtion, it’s the day for reunion. Some people call it Tuanyuanjie. The people work or study far away from home will come back to get-together with their families. They will eat a big meal and mooncake at that time. I hate parting but love reunion. So Mid-Autumn Day is my favorite festival.

  Our own national culture

Nowadays, some western holidays like Christmas Eve and Valentine’s Day have become so popular with Chinese people that they have been a part of some people’s life. On the contrary, some traditional Chinese festivals gradually are ignored by more and more people, especially young people. However, to our delight, some social groups have appealed to common people for more attention to our own national culture.

Although a few people once advocated that traditional festivals like the Spring Festival should be discarded because they have become obstacles to social progress. It can not be accepted and supported by the majority of Chinese people in reality. Indeed, the old way of spending festivals produces several disadvantages such as money wasting and transportation overloading. But we cannot disregard its other side: traditional festivals play an active role in our life. Traditional festivals not only bring joy but also bring the family together, which is so priceless in modern society.

What we should do is to preserve the positive things and make them flourish in the modern world. As for the negative aspects of it, we should not hesitate to abandon them and prevent them from affecting and troubling us and the next generation.
