father's day yesterday was father's day.i had planned to give my father a present. but i didn't remember it until in the morning.it was too late to post a card to him.so i decided to buy something.
when i was in the department store. i found it was not easy for me to choose something right for him. suddenly i got an idea.i ran home and opened my computer.i made a beautiful card and mailed him through the internet.then i began to make supper. when father came home, he was very glad to find a big meal on the table. then i asked him to check his e-mail. he was amazed to find a beautiful card in his e-mail-box.

Today, is the traditional Chinese festival - Lantern Festival. Eating yuanxiao, the meaning of the lanterns is tuan tuan yuan yuan, harmony and beauty. After dinner, my mother and I went to the square to see the lantern show.
Come to the square, ho, people many ah, really lively! These lights are vivid and lifelike, with 12 zodiac lanterns, corn lights, jack-o-lanterns, lotus lanterns, lei yue lanterns... It's beautiful. There was a lamp that impressed me the most, it was the moon, and there were some lovely twinkling stars.

On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up.
On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy.

The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the lunar Chinese calendar. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month and 8 is pronounced as "ba" in Chinese, which translated is "Laba." There are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. Traditionally, the Laba rice porridge is the most important element of the festival. Generally, the porridge contains eight ingredients which can include glutinous rice, red beans, millet, Chinese sorghum, peas, dried lotus seeds and some other ingredients, such as dried dates, chestnut meat, walnut meat, almond, peanut, etc. The porridge must be boiled for many hours and then offered as a sacrifice to the ancestors. This must be done before noontime. Also, it is tradition that family members eat the porridge together. Then they leave some as a symbol of hope for a good harvest the coming year.
