英語(yǔ)作為國(guó)際通用語(yǔ)，其重要地位越來(lái)越得到大家的共識(shí)。因?yàn)�，“我們不能忽視一個(gè)巨人的存在”（英國(guó)某語(yǔ)言專家語(yǔ)）。所以，我們要下定決心，排除萬(wàn)難，掌握英語(yǔ)。而構(gòu)建你英語(yǔ)大廈的基礎(chǔ)，就是詞匯。
1． 詞匯學(xué)習(xí)的重要性。英語(yǔ)能力培養(yǎng)程序：詞匯-語(yǔ)法-聽(tīng)-說(shuō)-讀-寫(xiě)。英語(yǔ)高分訓(xùn)練程序：詞匯-讀-寫(xiě)。這兩套程序是語(yǔ)言學(xué)和認(rèn)知學(xué)研究的成果，次序千萬(wàn)不能顛倒。詞匯是基礎(chǔ)，是素材，是細(xì)胞，不要指望詞匯基本功不扎實(shí)的人能夠考出高分；閱讀是中國(guó)人學(xué)習(xí)外語(yǔ)的最佳途徑，也是目前各類外語(yǔ)考試的最主要題型；寫(xiě)作是掌握外語(yǔ)，檢驗(yàn)自己水平的最主要方式。有興趣的人可以參考這方面的專著。

3 . 如何運(yùn)用詞典擴(kuò)大詞匯量。關(guān)于辭典。詞匯的學(xué)習(xí)離不開(kāi)詞典，如何選用她至關(guān)重要。我做一個(gè)Prediction ，70%的人用的是牛津和朗文。但是你如果看一下英語(yǔ)專業(yè)的考試大綱的話，你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)，COLLINS COBUILD 和 WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY 才是最好的工具書(shū)。我用的就是后者。為什么要推薦這倆本呢？1、釋義詳細(xì)，簡(jiǎn)練；2、提高詞匯在上下文的理解能力；3、后者還提供詞源，方便理解與記憶。
4. 詞匯量大對(duì)閱讀的幫助。閱讀有三個(gè)層次：字面意義，行間意義，言外之意。試題考察的比例一般為2：2：1。字面意義不必多說(shuō)，對(duì)于行間意義和言外之意的理解，需要高超的技巧，一般的閱讀書(shū)上都有，在此我提一下篇章結(jié)構(gòu)的作用。篇章結(jié)構(gòu)對(duì)于解答行間意義和言外之意的提問(wèn)特別有效。

He often says, "I must earn much money so that I can get what I want. "Lately, he is ill. Though he has a lot of money, he can do nothing but lie in the hospital's bed.
So I think health is more important than wealth. People can do nothing if they are always in poor health, let alone happiness. No matter we are rich or not, we can not ignore the importance of health.

On the third floor there are two computer rooms for students. The science labs are on the second，fourth and fifth floor. The language lab is on the sixth floor. We often have English classes in the language lab. On the seventh floor there is a library, a reading room. A computer room for the teachers is also on the seventh floor.
When we want to look for information we can go to the computer room at noon. When we want to borrow books, the library is open every afternoon. The reading room is open from Monday to Friday the whole day.

After watching English on Sunday on TV in the morning. I phoned LiHua telling her we should go see the film HERO together in the afternoon. After the film is over, we went to the Mr W. Mr W is our head teacher. He told me that I had made some progress in Chinese and Maths, but my English had fallen behind especially my English composition. He suggested that I should do more reading and keep a diary everyday. In the evening, after supper, my mother told me that reading Twenty-Four century would do me much good for improving writing. That was a really good idea and I should follow her advice.
