After that, my parents took me to the lantern market to buy lanterns. What a lot of lanterns! There are rabbit lights, pigeon lights, and dog lights... I looked back and forth several times. It was dazzling. I was dazzled, didn't know which to buy? Finally, I bought an antique candle lamp.
Then mom and dad took me to the pedal boat. Because of the festival, so many people, lined up a long team. We chose a goose boat, my father and mother pedaled, and I held the rudder. We had a happy Lantern Festival.
英語(yǔ)節(jié)日作文 篇3
Western festivals gain ever—increasing popularity in China。 A growing number of people in China are immersed in the thrilling atmosphere of the upcoming Christmas。 In comparison with the Spring Festival, the equally high status is given to Christmas by some of them。
There are a variety of factors contributing to this craze (trend)。 First, younger age groups are exposed to western culture and lifestyles through learning English。 And festivals are regarded as the highlight of western culture。 For example, Valentine's Day provides a vehicle for young adults to show their love。 Second, the advancement of economy enables Chinese people to possess increased purchasing power。 They are heavily targeted by businessmen, who view foreign festivals as golden opportunities to make money。 So they desperately try to boost the atmosphere of foreign festivals。
The necessity of celebrating these foreign festivals is widely questioned。 People involved are to blame for their loose traditional values。 Our home—grown festivals play crucial roles in Chinese traditional culture。 However, their foreign counterparts are exerting strong influence on people's values and thoughts。 There is no doubt that we should give our priority to Chinese traditional festivals。

It is common in english to ask people about their holidays. In the west many families go away on holiday during the summer months and so it is very usual to ask about this. If the holiday has not yet taken place, then their holiday plans can be talked about. And if it is already over, then where they went, whether they enjoyed it and so on can be discussed. similar questions are asked before festivals and pubic holidays.
Foreigners living and working in china often have frequent opportunities for travel, either at weekends or during their holiday periods, so questions on this topic can often lead to fruitful discussions. They may be particularly interested to hear comments on which places are worth visiting and why, especially if these places are a little less well known and not clearly described in the tour guides.
Take vacaticn and long weekends. Never let vacation time expire.

I went to zhongshan park with my father, mother, sister and brother. The gate of zhongshan park was decorated with colorful lights and other materials under the skillful hands of uncles and aunts. There are hundreds of red lanterns hanging on the gate, just like the red sun, with a smile, welcoming each friend's arrival. We went to zhongshan park with the crowd, and the colored lights were better. I see a "beautiful castle", which represents the beautiful motherland.
