During the 15 days from New Year’s Eve to Lantern Festival, Beijing was affected by smog for more than half the time, because of which people suffered a lot. On the road people drove slowly because they could not see clearly. People also suffered from many illnesses caused by smog.
The smog in Beijing has been caused by many factors, in which the increase of cars in the city area plays an important role. The cars send off a lot of poisonous gases, which in turn adds to the already serious air pollution.
In my opinion, the number of cars should be limited. We should call on the people to use more public transport. Only in this way can we expect to have more sunny days.

2月28日上午，學(xué)校組織了英語競賽。
我急急忙忙走進考場，只見其他同學(xué)已經(jīng)整整齊齊地坐在考場里了，而且正認(rèn)真看考題。于是，我趕緊坐好準(zhǔn)備應(yīng)試。低頭一看整整三頁紙，��！這么多考題，我心里暗自一驚。
剛一落座，教室外的鈴聲響了，考試開始。監(jiān)考老師宣布可以做題了。
同學(xué)們開始動筆答卷。教室內(nèi)十分安靜，只有監(jiān)考老師來回走動的聲音，和同學(xué)們答題的沙沙聲。前三道題比較簡單，我輕而易舉地就做完了，一切都是那么順利。
第四道題是選擇題，看著容易做起來難�？粗ㄌ柡竺娴乃膫�答案，我不敢輕易下筆，選錯了可是要扣分的，我思考著如何選擇。看看旁邊的同學(xué)，也是愁眉苦臉的，十分著急。唉！都怪我平時讀英語書馬馬虎虎的，囫圇吞棗，不求甚解，要不今天怎能感到吃力呢？還是跳過這只“老虎”趕緊做后面的題。
第五道題是判斷題，在每個句子后邊打鉤或打叉，然后指出有錯誤的地方，又是一只“大老虎”。怎么辦？不能再讓這只“老虎”跑掉，要拿出武松打虎的精神打掉這只“大老虎”。我按照平常做題的思路，認(rèn)真判斷每一道題，很快就打掉了這只“紙老虎”。我加快速度做完后面的題，然后再返回來攻克最后一個難關(guān)――選擇題，真是功夫不負有心人，我終于做完了選擇題，又是一只“紙老虎”被打掉。
最后十分鐘了，監(jiān)考老師提醒同學(xué)們加快答題速度，答完題的同學(xué)要仔細檢查。有的同學(xué)長長的'嘆了口氣，如釋重負；有的同學(xué)抓耳撓腮，眉頭緊鎖還有的同學(xué)停筆檢查，已是成竹在胸；我也開始仔細檢查每一道題，心里還是忐忑不安。
哎！這一次艱難的英語競賽已結(jié)束。但選擇題和判斷題能全對嗎？我心里沒有十分的把握。

Before I started at university,I took my first job as a waitress in a nice restaurant.At the night before my first day.I was too excited to go to sleep and as a result,I got up late in the morning.I threw on my clothes and rushed over to the restaurant.In a great hurry,I didn't hear clearly the head waiter's instruction that we should go into the kitchen through one door and out from the other.So when I took two plates of eggs and bacon and an orange juice out to the restaurant,I went straight towards the wrong door and collided with another waiter coming in!Worst of all was that I wore a pair of smart shoes but with high heels! A few hours later I was in agony yet had no time to change them. By the time we finished serving dinner at about 10:30 I was completely exhausted.
