Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing this recommendation to support Ms. Tseng Pu-Yi's application to your TESOL program.
I have known Ms. Tseng for over 2 years. Ms. Tseng was first a student at our center taking TOEFL and GRE preparation classes. Because of her excellent performance, Ms Tseng was later asked to work as a teaching assistant from 1997 until now. Ms. Tseng stood out among many students, as she is an eager learner and raised good questions. She works hard on her language skills and has made improvement. I believe she has the ability to succeed in graduate study.
Ms. Tseng has led 4 classes with 50, 85, 90 and 87 students, respective, for a total of over 300 students. Her duties as a teaching assistant include attending to teachers' requests in classrooms, helping students' individual needs and speaking to her classes everyday. Ms. Tseng has out-performed our expectations. She is a responsible person who prepares carefully ahead of class everyday. We have never heard any complaints from the teachers she works with. Being a teaching assistant can sometimes be a tiring job, as one must constantly resolve every student's questions and problems. The job can also get repetitive and exhausting. I find Ms. Tseng's excellent performance as a teaching assistant to be a good indicator that she will excel in your TESOL program and later in her career pursuit. Ms. Tseng has demonstrated her passion for teaching, good public speaking skills, eagerness to help students and ability to work in teams.
